5.3.10.3 How do we make sure that people know about ORV campaigns?

After the initial Task Force and organisational meetings, information should be provided to the media through well organised and orchestrated national and regional media campaigns. If possible, they should include newspapers, television, radio and social networking, and the information should be provided at least three days prior to ORV campaigns.

Flyers on ORV campaigns are also useful for informing people in vaccination areas, giving short but precise information and telephone hotlines in case of questions have been useful as well. In addition, warning posters should be posted at the entrance to forests where vaccine baits have been distributed. These posters can be located near roads, trails and alongside municipality border signs.
