In general, baits can be distributed either by hand or by aircraft (fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter). Baits can be distributed homogeneously (for example along transect [flight] lines), at random, at selected sites or in clusters.
In (semi-)urban areas, where there are lots of pets, baits should preferably be placed in sites where pets are unlikely to access them. This can be accomplished by using bait stations.
‘Hand’ distribution can be conducted on foot, or by using bicycles, motorcycles or cars.
